Can you see the dead live oak to the right of the Pine tree? Of the thousands of trees in the area, how come it has to whack mine. This is probably the cornerstone of my landscaping in the front yard. It certainly was one of the things that attracted me to this house. With all the Spanish Moss hanging, it just said ‘FLORIDA’.
So now I have this eyesore I’m going to have to deal with. I certainly didn’t budget the $1000+ it would take to remove this tree.
Oh well, it’ll be spooky this Halloween.
I made it thru my first ‘hard’ song – ‘Sunshine of Your Love – Cream’. Since I haven’t gotten that far in career, I had to do it thru quickplay. But I made it! Stats sux, but I made it! The transition to hard is going to be , well… hard. The tips on the forums highly recommend moving your whole hand down one set of keys. That is your index finger should rest on red and your little finger on the new orange key. The index finger will then control red and green in most cases. Also you have to start double strumming, that is down and up because the notes are going to come too fast to simply downstroke very fast.
Also today, I on ‘medium’ I got thru One by Nirvana. It’s so amazing when you get ‘in the grove’, that is you dont even think about your fingers. You just watch the notes on the screen and the fingers do the notes by themselves almost.
Yesterday, I got my first FC – Finish Complete – 100% – didn’t miss a note. It was on easy, of course, on Mississippi Queen. You not only get 5 stars but they are highlighed.
I know most kids who play GH III can kick my butt. But at 58, I’m amazed at what I can accomplish in this game. I honestly dont think I’ll ever master ‘hard’. But I only 60% believe that, because that’s what I said about medium. Of course, I was trying ‘Slow Ride’ on medium when I first tried it. Hell, I didn’t 4 star it until tonight, so it ought to be near the middle of ‘medium’.
I also got thru Knights of Cydonia tonight also. I’m gonna go back and do that one multiple times till I get better. I like the song. Its fun to play. It’s very difficult, but when you hit it, its like ‘Fire and Flames’. You get such a rush when you’re through. It also is teaching me good skills for hard.
